Victoria, BC

Do you have a work/life balance? Do you know what's important to you? Are you willing to fight for it? Good. Then we can be friends. Or at least mutually-respectful strangers on the interwebs.

EDUCATION:

Formally, I have a BA in Sociology and History from the University of Victoria. I also dabbled in Accounting (CGA - University of British Columbia) and Professional Writing and Project Management (Royal Roads University). I also famously won the Simon-dit championship in 5th grade at Pacific Christian School, but I don't like to brag about that.

WORK:

I've worked in everything from coffee shops & restaurants to accounting offices, arts & entertainment, website design, social media, and government ministries. Currently, I work at the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training for the Province of British Columbia. Or, as I (secretly - don't tell JK Rowling) call it: "The Ministry of Magics."

LIFE (aka "the balance"):

I spend the majority of my free time writing, volunteering in a vineyard, and (badly) playing the fiddle between road trips, clichéd long walks on the beach, and drinking margaritas on patios. Life is good. Sort of like a postcard-mindless-beach-read good. That's all I really want out of life - a mildly-exciting beach read in a postcard setting.

When I'm not in Victoria you can most often find me in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Just go to the local coffee shop and ask for Rizza.
