Rachel van Balen

I live in the north of the Netherlands, where I work as a painter. Being raised by two deaf parents, working with my hands has always felt like home. I've learned that having the capability to be creative is one of the greatest blessings.

I have an eye for detail, a love for nature, and a sense to try and experience new things, which shows in my paintings. My style is mostly abstracted, using strong lines and colors, although I want to stay open for new developments. As long as it stays clear, I'm thrilled by the power of simplicity, which I like to share with the world.
