Rajpal Singh Wilkhu

Rajpal Singh Wilkhu is a graduate of the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, holding an MSc in Control Systems Engineering. He is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Contingent, an SaaS platform that recently announced its latest round of funding. Contingent’s Supplier Insight & Third-Party Risk platform aims to make procurement easy for its customers by reducing risk and friction.
For Contingent, sustainable growth is key. To help meet sustainability goals, the company gives its clients access to its Sustainability Operating System (SOS) as well as the opportunity to take advantage of one-to-one expert coaching.
Outside of work, Rajpal is active in his support of the charity Khalsa Aid, getting involved in humanitarian aid missions to areas of civil conflict and disaster zones around the world. One such mission was to the Poland-Ukraine border, where a free kitchen provided hot drinks and meals to civilians.
Rajpal is a regular speaker at events and conferences, including the developer conferences AWS Summit, NDC Oslo and NDC London. Here, he talks about his experiences in implementing architectural, development and continuous deployment methodologies, and multi-cloud solutions.
Rajpal is a member of several groups and organisations, including Langar Aid, Business Declares and the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). His professional topics of interests are continuous delivery, software engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, multi-cloud and serverless technologies, sustainability and net zero.
To relax, he enjoys listening to music, playing the tabla, gardening, undertaking DIY projects, playing squash and watching football. He supports Arsenal F.C.
