A graduate of the University of New Mexico (UNM) School of Medicine, Randolph Baca, MD, has been providing psychiatric services to people in and around Albuquerque, New Mexico, for more than four years. Focusing his work primarily within the correctional prison system, he has held positions such as staff psychiatrist for the Metropolitan Detention Center and director of psychiatric services at Central New Mexico Correctional Facility. He has won several awards throughout his career, and contributed to two separate studies. A member of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Randolph Baca currently serves as a staff psychiatrist for Lovelace Health Systems.

Outside of work, Dr. Baca is a dedicated member of the community. He co-created A Dream For Children and A New World, two nonprofits focused on improving literacy among the Navajo Nation, and he donated audiovisual equipment and computers to UNM’s Department of Psychiatry through the SAMHSA fellowship. He also enjoys spending his free time creating documentary films, learning about modern exercise techniques, and playing video games. He is the co-founder of Sultan Games, a video game tournament platform.
