Red Sky Morning

You found us because you too must be wondering what is happening to our country? That is our combined thought. We are not bloggers, we are not political pundits, we are a husband and wife, we are parents, we believe in God and our Savior. We love and will defend our and your 2nd Amendment right and we think your, or someone else, 1st Amendment right is an important aspect to our heritage and survival. For example, even if we think you are an utter and complete moron, we will defend your right to free speech, but not your presumed right to be heard (they are different, ya' know). We are Pro-life, because that is our "choice" to believe as such.

I am a historian and my husband is a blue collar non-union career driven person. We are entrepreneurs with my business. We home-shool our son. We attend church regularly. We continue to work very hard to get to where we are, which is not rich. We pay our bills, our mortgage, our health care premiums, our out of pocket medical expenses, my student loans, and we lose half of what we earn with every check I get because of our incredible tax rate that equals 51% when federal, state, and both sides of social security are paid. We are your average middle-class Americans. We have 21 animals, and other than the geese, chickens and guinea hens all were effective rescues (dogs, cats, horses, and fish). We believe that you help your neighbor without making them feel like a failure or ashamed as you would were you to do the seemingly common practice of re-directing them to a public assistance program. We believe people should work hard and be driven to succeed. We do not think fast food restaurants or Walmart or Kmart or eateries or retail outlets are obligated to provide a "living" wage which apparently is assumed to be on par with that of a professional career. We believe those are "starter jobs" and that if you get off your ass get a better job, go to college, go to a technical/trade school or apprenticeship you will become your own person with some pride and not a societal sponge.

There! That is who we are. You can continue to visit our page or you can go somewhere else. That is your right. Should you choose to accompany us as we muddle along we welcome your comments. We like to debate.
