Coats, Shoes and Carriers for Refugee Children

CHILDREN’S WINTER CLOTHES APPEAL

As our kids kick through autumn leaves and cross their fingers for snow, thousands of refugee children from countries including Syria are stranded in cold weather conditions in the Balkans, as their families try to seek safety in Europe. Winter is coming and their desperate situation will only get worse.

We are a group of mums and local businesses based in south east London, raising funds to ship winter coats, warm shoes and boots, and baby carriers and slings to refugee children in Europe.

We are collecting the following items for children aged 0 – 12 years:

Winter coats, snow suits or salopettes• Winter boots and sturdy winter shoes

• Hats, scarves and glove• Baby carriers and slings

All items need to be in wearable and clean condition. Please note that we are only collecting items suitable for children up to 12 years of age. Please do not donate items for adults or any items that are not on the list. We know you mean well, but this is due to limited capacity and to cut down on volunteers’ time spent sorting these items.

If you would like to donate any of the above items, please take them to:

The Hoy Kitchen, 193 Creek Road, Greenwich, London, SE8 3BU. Open Monday – Friday 9am-4.30pm. [see map]

Deli X,156 Deptford High Street, SE8 3PQ. Open Monday - Friday 8.00am - 8.0pm, Saturday 9.00am - 6.00pm and Sunday 11.00am - 5.00pm [see map]

Or bring them to our one day drop-off on Saturday 14th November 2015 from 10am – 3pm at The Salvation Army Church Mary Ann Gardens, Deptford, London, SE8 3DP.
