Rene Boisvert leverages his extensive business background to raise revenues in the nonprofit sector. As the owner of the Helena Brewers professional baseball team in the early 1990s, he retrained staff and headed a marketing campaign that helped the franchise achieve profitability and improve its poor reputation within the community. Later, he served as senior vice president of operations and marketing for Rainy Day Productions, a concert producer throughout the Western US. Since 2012, Rene Boisvert has served as president of Taking It to the Streets, in which role he uses his private-sector marketing experience to enhance community-based fundraising.
A graduate of UC Berkeley, Rene Boisvert holds a Certificate in Fundraising Management (CFRM) from the Center of Philanthropy graduate studies program at Indiana University. A former board adviser for Philanthropic Ventures Foundation and Alta Alliance Bank, he currently serves as a board member for St. Vincent’s Day Home, which honored him with a Children’s Choice Award in 2007.
