Richard Micali
Richard Micali has carved his own path in life. First, he chose solid Midwestern schools: Bowling Green State University, near Toledo, Ohio, then on to John Carroll University in Cleveland where he received his MBA.
His working life began at Mead Johnson Pharmaceuticals, in Cleveland. As part of their Sales department, he transformed an underperforming territory into one of the most productive in the district, earning him a few awards and the opportunity to join the Sales Training department running workshops on selling skills and product knowledge. He then was promoted to roles in sales management, marketing, and managed care.
By 1997 Micali had progressing in the organization to the Infectious Disease Marketing division as Senior Director. Here he led a team responsible for a portfolio of oral and IV antibiotics. Following this role, he took on several sales leadership roles as VP Sales.
Throughout his career, Rich Micali has been involved with several successful product launches. He established and executed a multi-customer channel antibiotic launch plan resulting in leading the nation in new prescription share and successfully launched a key oncology product.
His record on charities is equally strong. He's on the board of trustees of Mercer Street Friends, a non-profit organization. In addition, he's on the advisory board for bWell, a consumer-driven healthcare company, and he sponsors two children through the Christian Children Fund.
