Richard Vlasich founded Vlasich Associates in 1986, serving as Chief Executive Officer and operating the company full-time for two years before accepting a position with JC Penney Company, Inc. For the last 25 years, he has continuously managed Vlasich Associates, providing engineering consultation in packaging design and labeling for manufacturers as well as real estate management. He specializes in package testing and material expense cost cutting, having saved more than $100,000 annually for a line of welding hardware after redesigning the packaging.

In addition, Richard Vlasich designs new logos for corporations and designs and develops promotional items for a variety of manufacturers and consultants. His extensive association with the drug and cosmetic industry led to his invention and patent of three drug-dispensing devices. Prior to founding Vlasich Associates, Richard Vlasich filled the role of Senior Packaging Engineer for Alcon Laboratories in Fort Worth, Texas. Working in the surgical, cosmetic, and dermatological divisions, he helped the company reach a 35 percent increase in sales due to branded product redesigns in cosmetics. He left that position to accept a job with JC Penney, serving as Manager of Corporate Packaging and Labeling. His many accomplishments there involved a focus on environmental packaging to reduce the company's ecological footprint.

Richard Vlasich earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. He advanced his education through completion of a Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis on three dimensional art at Texas Christian University (TCU).
