Richard deGorter has over 30 years of executive-level business experience and established Biofuels Development Partners, LLC, in 2014 to develop and operate manufacturing facilities for wood pellet and other biomass fuel production, notably for a Georgia-based project to produce approx. 400,000 metric tons of biomass products annually. Rick is also the co-founder and Executive Director of the Linked Economic Development and Affordable Housing Foundation, Inc.

Mr. deGorter has worked to mentor students and develop programs. In addition to serving as a guest lecturer to students in Catholic University's School of Architecture and Planning and in Johns Hopkins University’s Master of Science in Real Estate and Infrastructure program, he has worked with the University of Maryland and with Bowie State University to develop a healthy and sustainable mixed-use Transit-Oriented Development adjacent to the Bowie State University MARC station in Prince Georges' County, Maryland.
