Rick is an M&A guy as both a Senior Managing Director at Progress Partners and a Partner with Progress Ventures. His focus is on Marketing and Media Technology. He formerly led the Phoenix Media Group in Boston (Boston Phoenix, g8wave Mobile, WFNX) as its EVP / COO / CFO. Prior to that he was part of the founding management team of WebGen Systems in Cambridge where, as CFO, he raised over $25 million for the start-up clean-tech energy management software company. Rick also directed mergers and acquisitions for one of the Carlyle Group’s Fortune 1000 international holding companies throughout most of the nineties. Rick is a CPA and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts – Isenberg School of Management. He was raised on Cape Cod and now lives with his wife and daughters in Cohasset, MA.
