Rick Marshall moved with his family to Nevada in 1987 to begin work as a deputy for the Nye County Sheriff’s Office. Since then, he has served in a number of capacities, including as assistant sheriff, a current position in which he runs the front office and deals with internal affairs issues. Along with creating the training and evaluation programs of the Sheriff’s Office, Rick Marshall has brought in more than $20 million through his grant writing to supplement revenue shortfalls.
Rick Marshall holds an associate degree in criminal justice, a second associate degree in paralegal studies, and a bachelor’s degree in public administration. His educational background also includes studying at the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwestern University.
With his wife, Kristin, the law enforcement professional has four children and two granddaughters. In addition to spending time with his family, he coaches wrestling at Pahrump Valley High School and enjoys a range of other activities, including hiking and reading.
