Rob Denton
Rob Denton left his home in Tampa, Fl. at an early age to live in the inner city of Chicago during the early 1970s. Rob worked with the homeless, disabled, and poor helping to developing food and clothing programs for the poor and homeless. Rob also worked with single parent families, and disadvantage youth as well. This has remained a passion for Rob ever since. In the 1980s, Rob trained for, and earned a technical diploma in medical laboratory and worked in the field for 10 years as both a generalist and lab manager. In the 1990s Rob went back to school to pursue his post-graduate degree in psychology, earning a Masters degree. Rob would go on to open two counseling offices, working with child protective services and the county court system, providing assessment and counseling services. In the early 2000s, Rob felt the desire to reconnect with his roots, and went back into the non-profit field, working with disabled adults to secure community-based employment, rather than sheltered workshops. Rob was able to work his way up to area manager in less than two years. During his tenure as area manager, Rob was able to improve the employee work environment, client and stakeholder services, and successfully negotiate all jobsite contracts. Ensuring continued employment for the agency's clients. Rob implemented the balanced scorecard, and effective LSS management methods to increase profits, create new business, and improve stakeholder satisfaction. Recently, Rob's life has changed. In an effort to keep his mother-in-law out of the nursing home, Rob became her full-time, in-home caregiver. Rob's mother-in-law was disabled by a massive stroke two years ago, and requires around the clock supervision and care. Taking on this commitment has dramatically changed Rob's life in many ways.However, Rob has continued to grow and add to his resume. During this time, Rob has started a successful internet business, Robbie VanGogh Artisanal Fragrances. Through skillful marketing and ecommerce, Rob has seen worldwide sales of his products, and great reviews throughout the internet. Rob has also become Lean Six Sigma certified, and has contunued his educational pursuits in CRM, project management, business and nonprofit management through SUNY and Open University graduate cousrework. Rob and his wife, Linda will soon be moving back to the D/FW area to restart their lives.
