Rob Tolley

A veteran reinsurance industry professional, Rob Tolley heads Global Specialty Underwriters, LLC, and from his base in Dubai, offers clients dedicated solutions that help mitigate risk on major real estate and infrastructure projects. Among Rob Tolley’s specialties are surety bonds, credit life, and bank assurance programs, and he excels in structuring challenging risks involving large and stressed properties.

Mr. Tolley’s accomplishments include serving as partner with First City Partnership, Ltd., from 1999 to 2005, reorienting the firm from the US wholesale market to reinsurance solutions tailored to the Middle East and Latin America. Guiding 20 team members, he positioned the firm to maximize revenue potential from new sources. He subsequently joined R.I.B. International as broker and producer, and focused on brokering coverage in the terrorism and sabotage spheres.

Rob Tolley holds a diploma from Trinity Comprehensive in London, where he studied math, history, science, and German. Excelling in table tennis and martial arts, he was active with a rugby squad that went unbeaten during the years he competed on it.
