Teacher and Engineer in San Antonio, Texas

I was born and raised a deep-rooted Texan, growing up in San Antonio for most of my 27 years. After graduating with honors from high school in 2008, I eagerly moved to Lubbock to obtain my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, accomplishing it by May of 2012. Along the path that has brought me to where I am now, I've met many good people, some of which are still great friends and colleagues today. With them I have discovered many hobbies that have peaked my interest, including jazz as a trombonist, racquetball, tennis, gaming, bowling, and of course grilling in true Texas fashion. I've always wanted to feel important in my community, so I've spent time volunteering as a construction helper for Habitat for Humanity, an event planner for the Best Buddies of Texas, and a tutor to students via Breakthrough Austin. I've held a number of fulfilling roles as a student, a competitor, a volunteer, a community advisor, and a design engineer. I'm eternally grateful for each experience I have had. I'm very excited to begin my career as an engineering educator!
