While attending Southside High School in Rockville Centre, New York, Robert E. Akeson served as a member of the National Honor Society, and in 2012 earned an international baccalaureate diploma. He subsequently matriculated at Connecticut College (Conn) in New London, Connecticut, double majoring in environmental studies and economics. Robert E. Akeson completed coursework in areas that ranged from geophysics and marine pollution to corporate and public finance, earning his bachelor of arts in May 2016.

Robert Akeson’s accomplishments at Conn include serving as a forward on the varsity basketball team, a mid-fielder on the lacrosse club team, and a member of the golf club. He also completed summer internships with two large investment firms.

In addition to his academic and business experience, Mr. Akeson has built homes with Habitat for Humanity in Meridian, Mississippi. He has also completed multifaceted volunteer work as a maintenance worker at Bethany House in Hempstead, New York, and as a math tutor in Rockville Centre, New York.
