A lifelong resident of New York, Robert Fishko has built a reputation in the contemporary arts community as the director of Forum Gallery. After graduating from New York University with a degree in fine arts, Robert Fishko went on to establish a distinguished career as a theater manager and producer, assembling more than 100 productions on and off Broadway over the course of nearly two decades. During his tenure as a stage production manager, he oversaw productions at the Tappan Zee Playhouse in Nyack, New York, and the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami, Florida. For his accomplishments, he was distinguished with the Obie award for the best musical of the 1964-’65 season and the Straw Hat Award for his 1969 production of George M.

Leveraging his academic background and professional experience in managing live theater productions, Robert Fishko formally joined Forum Gallery in 1981 as an exhibitor at the Chicago International Art Exposition. He became an associate in 1983 and was later appointed gallery director in 1986, and he continues to maintain a vast inventory of 20th century and modern art, with a special interest in American and European artists.
