Based in Maryland, Dr. Robert G. Fenton has worked for over three decades as an oncological researcher. In preparation for his career, he earned his doctor of medicine and doctor of philosophy in molecular biology from New York University School of Medicine. After completing his internal medicine residency at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dr. Robert G. Fenton fulfilled the obligations of an oncology fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, also a Harvard affiliate.
In the final months of his fellowship, Dr. Robert G. Fenton leveraged his education and training to assume responsibilities as senior investigator for the National Cancer Institute in Frederick, Maryland. In this capacity, he conducted extensive clinical research to develop a cell line vaccine for melanoma and wrote a clinical trial for renal cell carcinoma vaccinations. Widely experienced in phase I, II, and II clinical trials and research, Dr. Fenton later developed new phase I and II protocols and led research efforts to analyze multiple myeloma signaling pathways in his role as associate professor at University of Maryland’s Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center.
