Robert Miller (Abakan)

With a business leadership background extending more than three decades, Robert Miller serves as CEO of Abakan, Inc., and has focused on the acquisition and growth of MesoCoat Inc., which provides advanced steel coating solutions that significantly extend the lifespan of pipelines. Robert Miller’s work with Abakan, Inc., has facilitated approximately $30 million in financing for a company that meets an expanding energy-sector demand.

Mr. Miller’s past ventures include a role with the Sonnen Corporation as CEO where he was tasked with setting in place an R&D focused team in the ceramics and catalysts sphere. In the late 1990s he guided Nanovation Technologies, Inc., raising an initial $20 million for R&D that was later augmented by $100 million in operational financing. The sales team he led was successful in obtaining major clients such as Lucent Technologies and Motorola.

Mr. Miller has deep knowledge in energy storage, battery, and solar technologies and has directed a number of companies in these areas. As CEO of Battery Metal Inc., he has guided a startup that assisted in the mining and processing of metals that make up advanced battery components. He has also consulted with and taken major investment positions in a number of mines spanning the globe.
