Robert Strobel
My name is Robert Strobel, and I am an Honors graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biotechnology, and a minor in Chemistry. I am also an avid violinist of 20 plus years, and enjoy photography, writing, and problem solving. I strive for excellence in everything that I do, and have a proven track record of reliability, team building, and management strategy. My strongest feature would have to be leadership, as I am currently a merchandising manager for Wal-Mart, with multiple multi-million dollar departments and over 100 employees under my lead. I enjoy teaching and training my associates, and have had my department managers promoted quickly.
I’ve been in retail for 11 years, and know what it takes to work in the fast paced world of buying and selling. My years of customer service experience have given me an uncanny intuition into the mind of the customer, and I use this to my advantage on a daily basis. I also make use of many corporate tools and reports in order to make informed buying decisions that are both profitable and seasonally appropriate. As a self proclaimed “Computer Geek,” I am proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, have a good deal of understanding with eCommerce and web design, and build computers as a side project. I am energetic, enthusiastic, and committed, and have a great deal of creative incite to offer.
I've been described as a renaissance-man, though I tend to refer to myself as a skill-collector. My wide range of experiences makes me a competitive candidate in a variety of disciplines.
