I specialize in "FOREVER YOUNG." At forty, I have zero gray hair and a body that's younger than a 25-year old's.
I might have some thoughts to share on the subject (see my blogs) but secret number one is an unsettled life--that just can't be beat for keeping one on the edge, with revitalizing blood pumping through one's skin and imagination.
I have two doctor's degrees and have had an outwardly distinct career and life chaprter unfold from each. I have spent over two decades in the corridors of higher education on both sides--natural sciences (medicine: MBBS, DMRD, and half an MD Pathology) and humanistic studies (MA Liberal Studies and PhD Ethnomusicology). Both pasts and trainings somehow now inform my pursuit of my central interest--comprehensive fitness and youth for life and leaving a beautiful corpse when I'm done. ;-)
A longtime gymmer and oft-time runner/walker, I recently graduated with 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training from Rishikesh Yog Peeth, a Yoga Alliance certified RYS500 School. But my research into Yoga extends much broader than requisite for any certificate course and it's continuously getting deeper.
Early and extensive training in medicine and cross-disciplinary research in humanistic studies inform my quest for understanding both the history and science of yoga, as well as of diverse exercise and nutritional approaches.
My takes on these subjects can be found on conjyouryoga.wordpress.com (in the works) and truthinfitness.wordpress.com.
Soon I also hope to be anchoring a new area at my college: Critical Approaches to Health, Wellness, and Culture.
