Hello - I'm Pamela Lynn Post, but most know me as Pam, Pammie and Grammie Pammie. Here's my story of why I am a survivor and why I "Rock".
I was born and raised in Fairborn, Ohio. I moved to San Diego, then Whidbey Island, WA then moved just north of San Francisco. Then in 1982, I moved to Groton, CT and stayed until 1987 when I moved to Orlando, Fl.
At the age of 23, I started having pani attaks until I was diagnosed with Agorophobia. Things got tougher and I actually was 99% housebound for 10 years. Things were pretty bad as my marriage broke up and I tried to find a way to survive financially.
I looked to the internet for a potential way of surviving. I found that you could actually make money doing customer service work over the phones working from home. My first few jobs were working for infomericals, HSN and many other clients. I became a corporation and gave it my parents initials, ILT Services, Inc. One of my best clients was Apple. I was working chat in 2007 when the first iPhone was released. I wanted so bad to be hired by Apple instead of being a third party vendor.
I starting taking Networking Courses via a local college after being trained to be a Medical Office Manager didn't produce any work at home positions. With this training I entered the path of technical support positions. Then I heard the Apple was stating to hire people to work from home. Of course, I was right on it. After two years, I had given up.
Then one day, I get an email and it was from Apple. After 3 different interviews, I was hired in 2013.
The first minute of my training, I knew I had entered into a company that was a whirlwind of awesomeness. My training was intense and challenging, but my drive to succeeed was just as intense.
I started out with the iOS department part-time. Then i was promoted to iOS Chat. I continue to studying on my own for CPU position. In 2014, I was once again promoted to the CPU Tier 1 position.
This past August I was promoted once again to the Mac Plus Orgination where I became a Senior Advisor.
I love working for this company. Apple never stops changing. I love the continuing learning experiences that I am exposed to on a daily basis.
I finally feel like a winner! I survived after my divorce and I found my Spiritual path that is giving me peace and finding new reasons to be Greatful every day.
