After earning his bachelor of science in biology at the University of Miami, Roger Blake matriculated at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine to pursue his MD. He subsequently completed a residency in general surgery and a trauma/critical care fellowship with Parkland Hospital at the University of Texas Southwestern. Roger Blake, MD, established his own surgical practice, Blake Surgical Association, in 2004 to provide a range of medical procedures to patients throughout Greater Cleveland, Mississippi. His areas of expertise range from routine minor surgeries to advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures.

In addition to sitting on the Board of Trustees of the Mississippi Medical and Surgical Association, Roger Blake, MD, holds membership in a number of professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Association for Surgical Education, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
