Roger Gonzalez

Not to be confused with Roger Gonzalez the professional boxer, the percussionist, the Disney star (yep, all of these folks come up when you google Roger Gonzalez!), I am Roger Gonzalez, aka Roger Gonzalez NYC. Proud and steadfast New Yorker from Queens.

I am a media and marketing consultant and rep, I specialize in ethnic and multicultural U.S. markets, I am a writer, a blogger, an artist (watercolor and oils), a businessman, a sometimes stage actor with a website called LocalTheatreNY.com and another called BurlesqueNY.com, a videographer, a family man, a liberal with fast evolving environmentalist leanings, quasi vegetarian, who still has a passion for all foods, loves to drink and party, cook, thinks professional sports are overrated and mostly boring, but strongly believes in physical activities because too many people in this country eat too much of the wrong foods.

I am mostly proud of being called "dad" and "professor" (I teach marketing at Brooklyn College).

People want to know if and when I sleep. I do. They also sometimes suggest I should pick one thing and do it great. I find the challenge of trying many things more exciting.

I like people who take charge and are confident. I hate it when people are afraid to make their own decisions or, worse, when they blindly follow the lead of others without questioning the specifics. I love people who come out and ask for something without beating around the bush and I hate it when they hint at wanting something. I hate it when people talk about nothing in particular...like the weather. I am a pacifist, but if the cause is right and there is no other method I will fight with grit and no mercy. I drink, I smoke and I love to eat! I don't believe in unconditional love and I would say I'm spiritual but not really religious. My kids will always come first...even if I disagree with them.
