Rolando Sanchez

Rolando Sanchez is a Theatre & Film Director from Queens, New York. He’s a former U.S. Navy Veteran and during his time in the service he began his passion for the performing arts by filming documentaries of soldiers in the Persian Gulf. After his tour of duty, he enrolled in the School of Visual Arts to study film production, cinematography and screenwriting.

His directorial training took flight, and he continued to study with the legendary Lenore DeKoven, former Columbia University MFA Film Program Professor; the great Karen Kohlhaas Directing Master Class, The Barrow Group Directing Master Class with Lee Brock, HB Studio Playwriting with Julie McKee and Robert McKee’s Story Seminar, just to name a few.

Currently he is working on several inspiring projects and his short play 90 Days, which he wrote and is directing, won the audience award for best short play at the Midtown International Festival Short Play Lab in 2015.

Rolando will direct his first feature film this year titled Married Strangers with Vendetta Filmworks 2016. He’s also developing 90 Days into a feature film, which he plans to direct as well.
