RoleplaySquare was established in 2010 as a test site to see how well it would do in the social networking community. After the test was complete it surveyed its audience and under-went construction for the official network. It officially was launched in January of 2012 but the grand unveiling of the site was not completed until October 7,2012.
The nework is set up to provide and link to other succesful anime databases, as well as provide news for gamers, a streaming online content, a Anime/Jpop and Kpop radio, A place for artwork, and chatrooms and mmorpg's for the pc gamers. the site's main focus is Roleplay for all genre's. The service is free unless you wish to become a store subscriber and sell/trade/buy merchandise from thirdparties, or from RoleplaySquare Inc. Itself. RoleplaySquare is a PG 13 site; but does offer mature members (who fill out and sign a legal document) a rated M section called the Red District.
The difference between this website and other roleplaying networks is it allows the average roleplayer a permenent website to roleplay on and call their home. It provides myspace profiles, for roleplayers who use to roleplay on myspace as well as provide chat-based and forum/site based roleplays.
