Currently learning how to code, by teaching myself. So I decided I would write a blog (coming soon) documenting my progress, projects and reviewing the equipment/tech I use, etc. I will be learning Python which is completely new to me, so we'll see how it goes. Maybe some HTML & CSS too, I already have a basic grasp of these, enough to make a simple website anyways. Python is the language that most people recommend for learning how to code, so that's why I've chosen Python. I really want to learn C/C++ one day too, though it's much more advanced and harder to learn - one step at a time. First step: Python.

I've also been doing a bit of electronics hardware hacking too recently learning how to solder and playing around with an Arduino, just really basic stuff for now learning how to program it to make LEDs flash when you press a button etc. (not very exiting, I know, but you have to start somewhere)

I've also got myself a Raspberry Pi to learn on, which is a great little device that's made for learning, in fact it comes with a load of tools for learning programming right out of the box. And it's great for hardware hacking with an endless amount of electronics projects to sink your teeth into. It runs GNU/Linux, which I'm fairly new to, so I'll also be learning GNU/Linux as I go along too. Phew, a lot to learn, eh? But I'll be taking it very slow too make sure I get a deep understanding of the concepts and not get in over my head. So yeah that's it, my hope is that if anyone does read this and follows my progress that they might learn somethings or even be inspired to learn coding themselves.

Thanks for reading, Roonix
