Rutherford Johnson

Rutherford Johnson is Archbishop of the Episcopal Archdiocese of the Southwest, now a missionary-based personal prelature. As Bishop, Johnson served as Vicar-General of the Archdiocese of the Midwest, where he assisted the Patriarch of the Communion and strove to rebuild the Diocese of the Southwest. In addition to his role as Bishop, Rutherford Johnson serves as the Assistant Professor of Economics at SolBridge International School of Business (Woosong University) in Daejeon, South Korea. Johnson handles an array of duties, including teaching, conducting research, counseling students, and providing religious services. Rutherford is currently involved in aiding the increase of the student body, as it is a new program within the university. He also lent his expertise in developing and improving the university’s IT system. Apart from his roles as a Bishop and Professor, Rutherford Johnson is highly devoted to the betterment of his community and generously supports and volunteers with numerous charitable organizations. Johnson contributes to the National Debutante Cotillion, the Preservation Society of Newport County, the Honorable Kentucky Colonels, the local Church, and various cultural societies. He also devotes personal time toward volunteering as an Adult Leader in the Boy Scouts of America. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rutherford Johnson has acquired quite a notable academic profile. He began his academic career in 1996 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where Johnson was a member of the Sailing Club, the Equestrian Club, and the university’s orchestra. In 2000, he received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics. Johnson continued his graduate studies at Georgia Tech, earning his M.S. in Economics in 2003. The same year, he was admitted to the University of Kentucky. In 2007, Rutherford Johnson earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics. Rutherford Johnson is an active member of the American Agricultural Economics Association, the Explorer’s Club, the Society of Colonial Wars, the Order of the Arrow, the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, and the National Eagle Scout Association. He is a Senior Research Fellow with the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry and an Honorary Lifetime Member of St. Andrews Society of Maine. Rutherford Johnson is also Chaplain of the Royal College of Papal Knights in the Americas and holds knighthoods from the Vatican and several countries. Johnson resident of Huntsville, Alabama.
