Ryan Gaul
In his current role, Ryan is responsible for the Asian business of W.E.T. Automotive Systems, the world market leader in seat thermal comfort solutions. Ryan has more than a decade of experience in the automotive industry in diverse roles and responsibilities.
Ryan started his career in June, 2000 at W.E.T. in IT as a programmer and IT helpdesk associate. He quickly moved into areas of increasing responsibility within the IT organization, culminating in his position as CIO of the W.E.T. Group. He was responsible for crafting W.E.T.'s ERP strategy, including restructuring of the IT group, outsourcing of the global ERP infrastructure and the template design and global roll-out of SAP at W.E.T.
In 2009, Ryan moved from IT to Operations, taking over responsibility for W.E.T.'s Asian operations in China, Korea and Japan. During his time in Asia, W.E.T. has more than doubled its sales and expanded its footprint within the region, growing from 600 to more than 1,500 employees.
With a background in philosophy, Ryan is strategic thinker with a strong focus on building an organization where continuous improvement, teamwork and learning are core values. He strongly believes that companies must think not on a quarterly, but a 100 year time scale and make decisions that build lasting value.
In addition to English, Ryan speaks fluent German and has lived and worked in the United States, Canada, Germany and China.
