Ryan McDermott

I currently serve as a consultant with Insight Insurance Agency. Insight Insurance Agency is the insurance arm of Insight Performance – an award winning Human Resource Consulting firm. My day to day responsibilities largely involve meeting with entrepreneurs, financial executives, and human resource professionals to develop awareness of Insight’s capabilities to meet their employee benefits, insurance and human resource needs. My experience and existing practice also includes providing insurance planning to individuals, families and closely held businesses who are looking to accumulate, protect and distribute wealth. I am also the President of the Boston Irish Business Association (BIBA). In my work with BIBA, I’ve had the opportunity to travel as a delegate to Ireland on trade missions with the goal of building and strengthening trade relationships and diplomacy between Massachusetts, Ireland and Northern Ireland. In 2012, I was honored by the Irish Echo News Paper – the largest and most widely-read Irish-American weekly in the US – with a 40 Under 40 Award. In addition to my work with Insight and BIBA, I participate in a number of local, regional and international initiatives related to my interests in Entrepreneurship, Economic Development, Arts and Culture.
