Back in the 80’s, this culture relied traditionally on detail and precision to maintain the health and longevity of every style. Wearing eccentric protective hairstyles like micro braids with beads, cornrows, and thread-wraps as a young lady, Sakeenah was always aware of her cultural orientation .
Since 2008, Sakeenah Nzingha Kinard has firmly positioned Nu Adé as a multi-cultural beauty brand dedicated to both distributing and manufacturing salon perfected nourishing hair oils. The New York based company has a growing international clientele, bolstered in part by Kinard’s keen sense of the niche marketplace.
“My mission is to preserve the cultural and spiritual orientation of natural hair care to inspire confidence in self-expression!” says Sakeenah Nzingha.
