Stan Davis Jr. is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and Music Director, born and raised in the city of Philadelphia. Born into a musical family, he began to study piano at age 4 under his father's tutelage and continued on to study guitar, bass, and music theory at Central High School. Upon returning home from a brief career in the US Navy after graduation, Stan’s music career immediately began to flourish, and before long he was touring, networking and performing with some of the best in the industry, including notable artists such as Teena Marie, Jaguar Wright, Lauryn Hill, Jaheim, Billy Paul, Jazmine Sullivan, Kindred the Family Soul, Eric Roberson, Jaheim, Vivian Green, and more. Stan has also had the opportunity to perform and record with Joe, Faith Evans, Kelly Rowland, Mya, Freddie Jackson, Melba Moore, Kelly Price, India.Arie, Lalah Hathaway, Marion Meadows, Floetry, as well as notable gospel artists such as the Wilmington Chester Mass Choir (whom he served as MD for five years), the Pace Sisters, Karen Clarke-Sheard, Helen Baylor, Isaac Carree, and others. He also recently made major contributions to the soundtrack of Fox’s hit TV show Empire, which scored him his first Grammy nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Stan is currently maintaining a busy schedule juggling tour dates with Kindred the Family Soul commemorating the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut album, as well as being a sought-after session musician and producer.

Garnering over two decades of professional touring and session experience, Stan has earned the respect of his peers and elders alike, holding firmly to the belief that music is a fundamental catalyst to the soul, and leads with this belief any time he steps into a venue or studio.
