In short I'm women who speaks with food, it's how I landed my husband ;-).

My dad was navy and clearly hated staying in one place for long. After migrating south from Pennsylvania he met my mom and married. Bored, my mother and him packed up from my birth state, South Carolina, to move to Texas (where my sister entered the world). Then so they got bored and moved on to California (where my brother soon followed). Not long after that my father left the navy and moved back to S.C. where I was finally born. Yes I am the youngest of three.

I live in Okinawa, Japan for the time being. My husband is military as well and I gave birth to or beautiful baby girl on December 1st, 2012. Our small family is more than I could have ever asked for.

Since moving here over a year ago we have had a difficult time making things work on a budget. So, over the past year I've created and tested new and improved recipes to help us out along the way. Check them out on my blog Salutetofood.wordpress.com

Currently I am starting to focus more on my schooling and family time than I am on work. I'm studying to become a Forensic Psychologist (like profiling criminals from the TV show Criminal Minds). <-- That'll be me, haha!
