An experienced engineer who currently resides in the Clayton, NM, area, Sam Wyley spent the early years of his career working in fire control with the U.S. Navy in Kings Bay, Georgia. As a crew member on board an Ohio-class submarine, he interfaced with the MK 98 weapon system and used it to track targets and develop firing solutions. Sam Wyley also oversaw networking and fiber concerns on the submarine and assumed responsibility for maintenance of the MK 98 system.

After six years with the U.S. Navy, Mr. Wyley accepted an offer to become a field engineer with General Dynamics AIS, where he installed MK 98 systems and trained U.S. Navy personnel on its use. He currently works as a ranch foreman with Britt Land and Cattle near Clayton, where he oversees a ranch operation that includes 500 cows and calves. Aside from his work with Britt Land and Cattle, he supports nonprofit organizations such as Project Healing Waters, the Wounded Warrior Project, and Disabled Veterans of America.
