Samir is a Senior Security Engineer at Praetorian specializing in product security assessments. Prior to Praetorian, Samir worked as a Technology Consultant at Deloitte, serving as a junior architect and designing complex state welfare systems such as Pennsylvania's Affordable Care Act and SNAP implementations. After exploring different avenues in IT focusing on building systems, Samir decided to pursue a Master's degree in Cybersecurity. Samir wants to use his expertise in cybersecurity and software engineering to introduce greater security, stability, and resiliency in system architectures.

While at Praetorian, Samir has accomplished more than 45 assessments including web and mobile application penetration tests, cloud architecture reviews, and internet of things (IOT) product threat models. Samir has also achieved his AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification and is currently working toward his Offensive Security Web Expert (OSWE) and AWS Certified Security Specialty certifications.
