Sam is currently Chief Revenue Officer at Food52. Prior to Food52, Sam was the Chief Revenue Officer at Bustle and built their sales team as the first salesperson. Prior to joining Bustle, Sam was Vice President of Sales at StyleCaster Media Group. Before StyleCaster, Sam was VP of Sales at CollegeHumor Media, an IAC business, growing the business year over year and representing the CollegeHumor brand to the ad world. He has also sold ads for Playboy Magazine,, and Adweek.

Sam has invested in early stage media, commerce, and tech businesses including Go Try It On (acquired by Rent the Runway), Open Air Publishing (acquired by Inkling), Elepath, and The Loyalist. He also advises growing digital media companies on ad sales strategy, including Inverse, MoviePilot, and Grandex Inc.

In his spare time Sam loves reading about and studying anything related to history, from military history to historical fiction. He's a bit of a nerd, Apple fanboy, and dedicated iPhone hacker. At the age of 14, Sam worked for AOL as a remote technical support representative, until he was fired for being 14. He is a member of the New York Friars Club.

Sam was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, and graduated from Emory University with a BA in English Literature.
