Competition- I picked this strength from my top five on strengsthquest because I feel as though it describe me the most accurately. I am competitive by nature in everything I do. In academics I strive to be better than the best, to push myself harder, get better grades, do more. In my running career, Beat my time from last week, beat the girl ahead of me, push until I have nothing left to give. Competition means pushing yourself to be better in all aspects of your life, settling for nothing less than the best, striving for a goal or "prize". Competition drives everything I do, it drives me to be better than I was yesterday, and it is an integral pat of my personality as it forces me to set the bar higher for myself, to not let myself come up short of achieving what I know I can. Competition is the theme I relate to the most.

letter to myself- (we had to write a letter to ourselves about our future, our goals for the next few years) in the beginning of the year I had high hopes. Loft goals to accomplish in a short period of time. I wrote of short term and long term goals, and upon looking back realized sometimes you have to be realistic. What I wrote then still stands today, this choice-this semester- was by no means easy. But it's not time to throw in the towel, you have stuff to do. Looking back on this assignment I've learned that plans change, and no matter what the only person who can truly motivate you is yourself, and I still have a long way to go before any of those goals I wrote are achieved, but despite the changes I've made, none of them are impossible. (this was my favorite assignment, I'm glad I had the chance to reflect on it, glad I still aim high despite failure).

My Ohio State Tradition- (we had to describe our favorite Ohio state tradition and why it was our favorite). During this assignment, I discovered more than just a rich rivalry between two schools: I discovered Ohio State had finally become home. For most of first semester I've felt like a stranger on campus, just going through the motions. But writing about Beat Michigan week, and how excited I was for it really opened my eyes to how I had grown to love OSU, and how I had learned to make it home, not wait around it to become it. I learned more about my school and myself from this assignment than any other, i learned that the experience is what you make out of it, and that OSU is a very special place; with the experiences here shaping up to be ones I will never fo
