Working primarly as a head tailor(since1985) in our own created (1996-2013)company in Iceland. Creating patterns and technical solutions for designers also for our own designed clothes. In Iceland we took over an older brand called Jenný primarly concentrating on well fitted pants and taking the idea a step further by custom making for invidual needs. Made a good name among designers helping to solve problems and making their drawings to reality. www.sari.is Helping inviduals find themselves in their own style fit for life and for every occasion. Our clients have often given me free hands to create their style feeling confidence and trust. Memories of working life is when I had the opportunity to create outfits to 19 scenes in an cabaret. From design to ready to wear all within two weeks time and the last outfit hit the scene 45 minutes before the premiere. I also made the outfits for the Icelandic contribution when world hit year 2000 and all countries gave a specially made video when the new millenium was selebrated. Lately our goal is to make perfect fit jeans. Work in progress www.swednm.com Graduated from school TAMPEREEN AMMATTIKOULU in 1985 as a tailor both for woman's and men's clothing, learning also everything about fur and leatherwork thanks to our great teacher RAIMO HIETANEN and excellent tailor and master. 1993-1994 took a break and went to Italy, Rome and had an opportunity through a good friend Rósa Jónsdóttir(Sayari) get a foot into www.accademianazionaledeisartori.it in 1994 attend their annual meeting. Summer 1994 in Finland Tampere working for a horse carriage company both designing the clothes for drivers and making a wedding decoration both for the carriage and horse. Later working my self as an horse carriage driver.
