I fell in love with Accounting in high school. I actually took the class to avoid taking a higher lever math class that I knew I wouldn't do well in.

I've worked at various CPA firms in Illinois and Ohio for the first 12 years of my career.

After the birth of my daughter in 2012, I knew that continuing to work for a CPA firm would rob me of time with my family (especially from January to April), and I wasn't going to miss one moment.

My specialty was auditing non-profits. So, I accepted a position as the Manager of Finance and Operations with the McLean County Chamber of Commerce in August of 2012.

I couldn't have made a better move. I'm can truly say that I am more content and happy. I work with some of the best people, and I'm off the clock at 5:00pm every day of the year.

You can also find me being the Business Manager at my wife's doctor's office (Heartland Foot & Ankle Associates, P.C.) I'm so proud of all she has accomplished and how the practice has grown in only 6 years.

I don't know what the future holds, but I'm always up for new adventures.
