Recently retired from the City of Rochester, Minnesota, after more than 32 years of municipal governmental service, Scott Schwieder was honored with a Certificate of Service. Over the course of his career, Scott Schwieder worked as a Survey Party Chief and Senior Engineering Technician-Inspector, in which roles he oversaw contractors and subcontractors working on a variety of municipal projects.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Schwieder served as survey technician at McGhie & Betts, a land surveying and private engineering firm, and as a member of a survey crew for Kirkham, Michael, & Associates, where he helped to complete a comprehensive flood study for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Mr. Schwieder holds a degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Minnesota State College Southeast. A current Certified Tree Inspector with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, he has held membership in professional organizations such as the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors (MSPS). His leisure activities include remodeling homes and milling timber into lumber, as well as hunting and fishing.
