Scott Emerson

Scott is a lifelong entrepreneur. In 1984 he founded a commercial mortgage company, soon purchased three Holiday Inns and formed Brighton Companies. Brighton expanded into residential real estate development with the purchase of land in Telluride, CO and built hotels in Sandusky, OH. Brighton purchased the Mueller Electric Company, a manufacturer of electrical and electronic interconnect products, in 1994. This led to opening a sales office and a factory in Shanghai, China. Brighton purchased J. S. Popper Co. and Crane Connectors in 2003. Scott is currently retired and advisor to Brighton which is developing community housing in Telluride under the leadership of Scott Emerson, Jr.
