Born mid February 1944 @ Eureka! California I remember it well. Started walking, running, falling, dancing, marching, tricycling; talking, singing, whistling, shouting, crying, screaming, schmoozing, visiting homes, attending church; never crossed any street without crossing with a larger person, stranger or not; freely explored Eureka! from the salty water to the hills and parks all ALONE or with people because I memorized both my address [1404 H Street} and my telephone number [now forgotten], although it consisted of four digits, so lost NEVER happened, and feeling alone never occurred to me. I believed that ambulances always roamed around running over people, so I quaked and made a fuss whenever I saw an ambulance and heard any siren. Moved to Oakland August 1948 with the Family
