Sean L. Conner is a strategic communications and media professional with experience in the public, private and political sectors. Today, as a Public Affairs Manager for Uber Technologies, Sean oversees the company's policy initiatives and government relations among public officials, regulators and key third party stakeholders in New Jersey and Connecticut.
Before joining Uber, Sean served as Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) where he was the principal spokesperson for several high profile moments, including the shooting of Walter Scott by a North Charleston police officer, the Charleston 9 tragedy at Emanuel AME Church, the debate on removing the Confederate battle flag from statehouse grounds and the Senator's ongoing efforts to pass a bill to provide $100 million for body cameras for law enforcement across the country. He was named to the Root 100 for his work.
Sean has also served as a spokesperson for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno and for the Republican National Committee. Early in his career, he worked as a production assistant at C-SPAN.
Originally from Oakland, CA, Sean graduated from Sheldon Jackson College with a degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Education.
