A campaign and advocacy consultant, Sean Tenner serves as the president of KNI Communications in Chicago. With more than 20 years of experience, Sean Tenner helps nonprofits, foundations, and elected officials orchestrate successful advocacy and political campaigns. He has launched successful campaigns to address pressing issues.

Among his current projects, Mr. Tenner is fighting to end slavery in Mauritania, West Africa. Alarmed by the CNN report “Slavery's Last Stronghold,” he co-founded the Abolition Institute, a nonprofit that has helped generate more than $5 million in funding for anti-slavery programs in Mauritania under his guidance. His insights have been published by several media outlets, including Forbes and 9 News Australia, attracting attention from around the globe to the plight of enslaved people. Additionally, Mr. Tenner has developed partnerships with grassroots activists living in Mauritania to affect change on the local level.

Sean Tenner has received several awards and distinctions, such as the Community Renewal Society’s 35 Under 35 Award for his issue advocacy and philanthropy work. He has also served as the Democratic Committeeman of the 46th Ward in Chicago since 2018.
