Seth Riddley
Seth Riddley is a senior at Harvard College. He is a fifth-generation South Carolinian.
Both of his grandfathers served in the United States Navy during World War II. Seth was born in Greenville, South Carolina to a cosmetologist turned nonprofit founder and a longtime employee of Michelin Tire. He has one brother, who was the first in the family to attend college and graduate school.
When he was ten years old, Seth's family founded a nonprofit organization named Shalom House Ministries, which is a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment center and halfway house for women. The inspiration for the endeavor was his mother's experiences getting off drugs. Growing up in South Carolina and in the middle of a nonprofit instilled a strong sense of service to his community and state.
