A successful trucking business dating back nearly eight decades, Seward Motor Freight, Inc., has been providing transportation services to customers throughout the United States. The original business plan primarily focused on the State of Nebraska market, it broadened its horizons starting in the 1970s when its owners secured Interstate Commerce Commission permits to ship general commodities throughout the United States . During the 1980s, Seward Motor Freight acquired smaller trucking companies, which allowed expansion of the operations infrastructure as well as its driver capacity. To accommodate expanding growth, the company transitioned into a 6.5 acre headquarters and maintenance facility in 1985 at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Highway 15.

Presently, Seward Motor Freight focuses a majority of its operations on market area within 1,200 miles of the headquarter terminal.
