Syeda Shahida Shah Kakakhel, a master in Human Development Studies and a research scholar of M.Phil in studies of Central Asia, China, Russia and Afghanistan is a Pashtun feminist and an Activist in KP/FATA for Women Rights, Minority Rights & Peace
She led a community forum for tribal women of FATA called“Takrah Qabailee Khwenday”(TQK) which means “Brave Tribal Sisters” from its founding date 1 Sep,2012 to 15 Jan, 2017.
Ms Shah has worked for Minority Rights in KP/FATA & has worked for the legislation & advocacy process with Parliamentarians, Politicians, Media & Civil Society.She has also managed public celebrations of the Non-Muslim religious ceremonies like “Raksha Bandhan”,“Deewali”,“Holi”etc for minority rights in KP/FATA including a Christmas with Christian women in Landi Kotal, Khyber, FATA to promote the message of "Pakistan First".
As a peace activist Ms shah has participated in all protests, rally against injustices & terrorism; as a part of civil society of KP/FATA and on the request of APS Martyrs’ mothers she has successfully mobilized the civil society of KP/FATA to demand for justice. On the request of mothers of APS martyrs; Miss Shah recently arranged a delegation of the parents of APS martyrs in May 2017 to meet President Asif Ali Zardari to support their demand for justice. She also arranged Delegations of tribal women and spoke on all platforms to protest against "FCR", “Riwaaj Regulation” and to support "FATA Reforms". She led these delegation to meet Governor KP, President Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur, Asfandyar Wali and Begum Naseem etc.
She is the member of many local, National, South Asian networks. The message she carries through her work is "women empowerment for a prosperous Pakistan".
