Shajen has been working in our public education systems for over 20 years as a Special Educator, Administrator and Counselor. Her focus has been on creating alternative programs in mainstream settings in order to give all people access to an education which works for them.

Shajen is a founding member of the Association of Transformational Leaders and the Women's Speakers Association. In 2014 Shajen was awarded Woman of Outstanding Leadership from the International Women’s Leadership Assoc, and held the proud title of Woman of the Year for 2011/2012 from the National Association of Professional Women for dedication and excellence in her field of Education*.* She was recently nominated for BEST PRODUCT by Today's Innovative Woman and was awarded The *Beautiful People Award* from the LIFEFORCE Independent Film Festival. She also received a Peace4Kids award from congress-woman Karen Bass. In 2011 was given a World Humanitarian Award from Michael Bernard Beckwith and Dr. Barbara De Angelis.

Shajen’s primary philosophy is creating a conscious and compassionate world, one person, one family, one community at a time. With a Master’s degree in Education from Norwich University, a Master's degree in Psychology, She is most passionate about children and young adults, as they are our future now.
