Raised in Dublin, Ireland I started to get involved with the environmental movement when I was at school. I studied English Literature, Psychology and Linguistics at University College Dublin. I went to Edinburgh University for my postgrad study in Linguistics and moved to New Zealand in 2002. I was involved in the trade union movement and then with the Green Party. I currently work at ITS at Otago University and lecture part time in Sustainability at Otago Polytechnic. I have a radio show with my colleague Samual Mann - check it out on sustainablelens.org
