Shani Walisinghe

Hi I am Shani. I was born in Sri Lanka, lived and studied in New Zealand and currently living with my family in Melbourne Australia. This blog is about my journey through life as a mum attempting to live an unconventional life going against the 9-5 rat race. I hope this blog inspires others to live the life they really want to live.

I have two kids, a girl and a boy (2 years apart). I love them to bits and can't imagine not being a majour part in their lives. Having kids changed my life it made me do a "u turn" in life, stopped my previously driven Engineering carrier and started to question what I really want to do and discovered I just want to be able to follow my heart, my dreams and stay away from the 9-5 mentality doing something without purpose.

I learned a new hobby, jewelry making which I made into a business. Bought a Cafe and set it up to run on its own. Traveled a bit with my kids and husband. With everything I did I caried out extensive research and learnt so much. As a result I started a blog to share my experiences, my thoughts, my dreams in the hope that it will make someone else's dreams come true.

There is nothing more pleasurable than being able to make someone happy, we all live on this earth for a short while we might as well make it a happy enjoyable one. We all want the same basic things in life so why not achieve our dreams together....
